Mawine G. Diggs – “Discover the Gift of Rain”
In 2011, Mawine G. Diggs joined Wayne County Community College District a five campus multi-cultural institution serving more than 70,000 students annually. She currently serves as President of the Eastern Campus and District Vice Chancellor of Student Services.
As the Campus Chief Executive Officer reporting to the Chancellor, Mawine is a member of the Chancellor’s executive staff and participates in establishing institutional goals in accordance with the District’s educational plan. With responsibility for providing strong decisive energetic leadership in meeting the District’s commitment to student learning and success, she provides leadership, for campus planning including development of the vision, mission, facilities plan, college curriculum and campus budget.
A native of Liberia, Mawine’s journey is not one of a conventional nature but one which has left her with a multifaceted viewpoint of the significance of higher education in today’s society and the importance of impacting her community and the world one experience at a time.
Olubusayo Olojo-Adeoye – “Spring Forward”
Olubusayo Olojo-Adeoye is an English instructor at Wayne County Community College District. She is also a lecturer at South University, Novi and a former secondary English teacher of Detroit Public Schools. Olojo-Adeoye holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from Wayne State University, a Master of Arts Degree in Children’s Literature from Eastern Michigan University, and is a doctoral candidate in the Curriculum and Instruction English Education program at Wayne State University.
With over 13 years’ experience teaching at K-14 public, private, and charter institutions, Olojo-Adeoye is highly qualified to teach diverse groups of students—under-represented, at-risk, and/or multicultural.
